At Pierce & Knight Family Dentistry, we believe that knowledge is essential to delivering excellent dental care. That’s why your first visit with us will consist of several steps. Spending a little extra time allows us to find out more about you and your oral health. Here is how your appointment will work:

  • One of our skilled registered hygienists will take any needed X-rays, examine your teeth and gums, perform periodontal charting, and log any other crucial information. Since we use digital X-rays, you are exposed to much less radiation than traditional X-rays.
  • Then they will clean and polish your teeth, making sure to reach all the nooks and crannies of your mouth that you might miss at home.
  • Next, you’ll meet with either Dr. Pierce or Dr. Knight for a 30-minute new patient consultation. This meeting will help them understand your oral health and diagnose any specific oral concerns you have. You’ll also have the chance to ask any questions about us or your oral health.
  • By the end of your appointment, you’ll have personalized treatment options based on your smile needs and goals. We’ll make sure you have the information you need to make wise choices about your dental care.

To expedite your first exam and cleaning, we ask that you complete your new patient forms before your appointment. This will allow us to spend more time with you and less time doing paperwork.
