I’ve always wanted to do something in health care. I love treating patients and the patient interaction. So when I was looking at going into my profession, I was looking at something that mixed the science that goes along with health care, along with the artistic world that dentistry kind of lives in there as well.
So that combination of patient care, the sciences of health care that I love, and the artistic aspect of dentistry really drew me to dentistry. I got my degree from UMKC School of Dentistry. I continue my education and my continuing education through the Spear Education Program that’s down in Arizona.
I have local continuing education that we do here in Kansas City, and I have a peer class that I’m in as well. So we have a lot of aspects that keep us on the cutting edge of dentistry. I think the most rewarding aspect of dentistry is just having the continued smiles from patients and that actual continued relationship that we have that builds year after year after year.
I just love seeing patients that have been coming to our practice for years, and you have a great relationship with them. And to be able to cultivate that and just have that grow over the years is just really special to me.
Dr. Robert Pierce Provides Quality Care
Born and raised in Lenexa, Dr. Robert Pierce earned bachelor degrees in both biology and chemistry from Drury University in Springfield, MO. He then attended the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Dentistry, where he graduated with distinction and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Kansas Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Fifth District Dental Society.
Dr. Pierce has a vast range of experience and interests in the field of dentistry, from basic restorative dentistry to surgical treatments and tooth replacements. He is proud of the importance that Pierce & Knight Family Dentistry has in the community, and his goal is to always focus on providing quality care to his patients.
Dr. Pierce has many interests, such as involvement in his church, spending time with friends and family, hunting, fishing, and enjoying the great outdoors. However, he and his wife spend much of their spare time devoted to their three boys and their many activities.
